Star & Firmament Truth

"In the beginning"...when God created all things, He told us about the "firmament" as it says in Genesis 1:6-8 (NKJV):

Then God said, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters." 7 Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.

Psalm 19:1-4 also tells us about the "firmament" of the heavens.  Here it is in the NKJV:

The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. 2 Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language Where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world.

Many have observed the "stars" of the "heavens" throughout the ages, and have listened to their "voice" speak "truth" about their "Creator."  Did you know that "stars" are living creatures, which God breathed into when He made them?  Psalm 33:6 (NKJV) says, "By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth."  Judges 5:20 declares, "They fought from the heavens; The stars from their courses fought against Sisera."  Jesus also spoke about "stars" being "angels" in Revelation 1:20.  Revelation 9:1 also says, "Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit."  The Bible also says the "star" Creator "counts" them and "calls them all by name" in Psalm 147:4.  (For more evidence about God's night "lights," go to my "Book" page, check out "CREATION STRUCTURE CLUES," and let His "words" confirm His "authority" on the subject.)  As you will see here, there are many beautiful images listed of His heavenly "voice" declaring His "glory"!

You may also observe a group of images of "sprites" below.  Merriam-Webster's Dictionary says a "sprite" is "a form of electrical discharge that sometimes is emitted upwards from the top of a cumulonimbus cloud during a thunderstorm at the same time that lightning strikes downward and that usually appears as a red or reddish-orange flash of light."  I point these out, because some of these photographs of lightning storms and "sprites" slightly show the "firmament" above.  I also included a selection of "Northern Lights" pictures just for fun!

As you observe these images, remember to think about the "words" of the Lord, your Creator.  If He "counts" the number of the "stars" and "calls them all by name," I bet He knows yours, too, and probably knows where you live!  I hope you know that He made you, too, in His own "image" (Genesis 1:27), and He loves you very much!!!  Enjoy the "firmament" and "star" study!
